update

thanks for all the advice and concern from everyone who posted a comment. I did manage to get the nail polish off the tile but everything I use on the cupboard takes the paint off or it doesn't work at all so, I've resorted to "well I guess I have an excuse to paint them now". So, I always wanted black cabinets and I'm either going to paint them or look for some sweet deals on some new ones...these are 27 years old anyway. I'm totally down for love and logic, I just don't want to set it up so if someone knows how or knows who to call, count me in.
